She has recently disappointed those few pro-life voices yet remaining in the ultra-liberal denomination by defending the denomination's steadfast membership in the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (RCRC). The Washington-based United Methodist Board of Church and Society and the New York-based United Methodist Women’s Division both belong to RCRC.
