Obama Asks Communist Thugs for "Space" to Win Reelection

President Obama: On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space.

President Medvedev: Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you…

President Obama: This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.

President Medvedev: I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.

Here's today's reason to shiver (and isn't there another one popping up all the time?) over the prospect of Barack Obama winning reelection.

The brief conversation printed above is all too real. It occurred this weekend when the president was caught unawares by a microphone in telling Russian "Puppet President" Dmitri Medvedev to pass on to his boss, Vladimir Putin, that to further fritter away American interests, Obama needed some protective "space" from the Russians in order to to get reelected.

Once again, the Obama presidency gives us a moment more fitting for a sinister conspiracy movie than real life, a moment in which a socialist American president asks for help from a Communist tyrant to win an election. And, in return for the helpful "space," the American president promises to reduce his country's military prowess.

For make no mistake about it, that's exactly what Obama means in pledging that the problem Vladimir Putin has with America's missile defense capabilities will be "solved" in Obama's next term.

In one generation, America has gone from Ronald Reagan to this?
