Entertainment Weekly is reporting the results of a new survey of TV watching among self-professed liberals and conservatives. Those results (interesting but hardly surprising) suggest that Democrats go more for "sarcastic media-savvy comedies and morally murky antiheroes" while Republicans prefer reality shows and profession-oriented programs.
Examples? Among Democrat favorites are late night talk shows, Saturday Night Live, The View, 30 Rock, and Modern Family. Republicans, however, sign up for things like Top Shot on the History Channel and other reality contest programs. They also like Mythbusters, American Pickers, Pawn Stars, Hawaii Five-O, NCIS, and Wheel of Fortune.
Of course, the best conservatives are the ones who limit their TV viewing in the first place, preferring to live life to the fullest rather than peeking into an electronic box to watch somebody else!
Here, by the way, is more on that EW survey.
