Criticizing President Obama Is No Longer "Off Limits"

Do you remember how just a couple of months ago, Republican office-seekers were told to run against their specific opponent or even against Congress itself because of its low ratings in the polls. But, whatever you do, the Republicans were told, don't mention Barack Obama by name. For despite the unpopularity of his proposals, the President himself remains liked, respected, and trusted.

But with the President's personal approval numbers continuing to drop -- and with performances like last week's health care "summit meeting" in which Americans saw Obama as petty, disingenuous, and arrogant -- the advice which might have made sense around Christmastime is now being ignored by aggressive Republicans who are putting Barack Obama front and center of their public criticism.

Check out this example.
