Our good pals Joe and Ann Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League are appealing for your prayers and other assistance as they fight to protect the rights of free speech, assembly and religion against the unjust actions of the Chicago City Council. That government body, directed by the sinister forces of Planned Parenthood and other abortionists, has passed a 50 foot "bubble zone" which will severely curtail the League's very effective sidewalk counseling efforts.Of course, I know you care about the mothers and babies scheduled for abortion in Chicago. But consider also that each time constitutional freedoms are eliminated in one locality means it's all the easier for the next batch of tinpot tyrants to eliminate them elsewhere.
So, please pray for justice to prevail here. This terrible law doesn't go into effect until Mayor Richard Daley signs it, so ask our Lord to give him the wisdom, courage and moral enlightenment necessary to resist the intents of the evil one. And then please contact the mayor yourself, asking him to veto this perverse and unconstitutional proposal.
