The Republican Governor of Connecticut, M. Jodi Rell, has just signed a bill into law that requires hospitals to offer "emergency contraception" to rape victims. The Catholic hospitals in the state have been fighting this alarming legislation because the "EC" drug involved has been proven to cause abortions.Certainly, the Connecticut's government's gross abuse of power here represents a grievous act of injustice, one that flies in the face of the historic respect for human life as well as America's cherished record for freedom of religion and conscience.
