Things Are Upside Down in Kosovo

If you look closely at the photo on the left, you'll notice the flags of the United States and Great Britain are being flown upside down at the Victory Hotel in Pristina, Kosovo. It is a childish but revealing statement being made by the hotel's owner, Hashim “The Snake” Thaci, the Albanian terrorist leader who was such pals with Bill Clinton and Madeline Albright. (This 1999 article by Don Feder, by the way, will remind you of the extreme indifference and irresponsibility shown for the Serbs by the Clinton administration.)

Over at PoliticalMavens.com, Julia Gorin has some penetrating reflections about this situation as well as comments about Thaci, Albright, Wesley Clark, the ineptness of NATO, and the dismal future recent decisions portend for the region. It is a very good piece.
