Planned Parenthood: Where Are the Missing Millions of Our Tax Dollars?
A new report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) on federal tax money funneled into Planned Parenthood and similar organizations raises more questions than it answers about the nation’s largest abortion chain.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s (PPFA) audits show the organization spent just $657.1 million between 2002 and 2008 from federal government grants and programs, but the abortion behemoth’s own annual reports show that it took in $2.3 billion from government grants and programs during the same time period.
That’s not pocket change. Why the discrepancy?
The report (the first of its kind since 2002) was released in response to a request from 31 U.S. senators and representatives and in an atmosphere increasingly hostile to abortion. Not surprisingly. then, its findings are fueling an escalating outcry to defund Planned Parenthood.
Since 2009, at least five nationwide polls have confirmed that a majority of Americans consider themselves pro-life.
Someone, then, needs to explain to all those people why $2.3 billion in tax dollars have been doled out to an organization that admits to systematically having killed more than 1.8 million pre-born babies between 2002 and 2008 and then reports it only spent $657.1 million in federal dollars.
Has Planned Parenthood managed to tuck away megamillions of our tax dollars, seemingly unnoticed? Or is that much of its government funding coming from sources other than the federal government? Or is there a problem with the way Planned Parenthood is reporting its expenditure of our federal monies?...
Read more of Rita Diller's Washington Times report here. Read it and then forward it to your Congressmen and Senators. Maybe write a personal letter, e-mail or make a call and include a couple of the points from the news story. Tell them to defund Planned Parenthood now. No excuses. No delays. Get it done.

Liberal, Pro-Choice Pundit Calls for De-Funding of Planned Parenthood
Kirsten Powers worked in the Clinton Administration for 5 years and has gone on to write for the New York Post and many other mainstream newspapers and magazines. You've probably seen her on television from time to time as well. She also writes a regular column for The Daily Beast which is where this eye-opening article appeared. In it Powers argues that because of Planned Parenthood's inefficiency and blatant dishonesty, they shouldn't be receiving any tax money.
Read and pass along.
...Over this time period, the U.S. government has funneled billions of dollars to Planned Parenthood, in large part because the organization claims to provide services to avoid unplanned pregnancies – a laudable goal. Yet despite a robust budget—Planned Parenthood reported a total annual revenue of $1.1 billion in its last financial filing—the organization has done absolutely nothing to change the fundamental dynamics of the United States’ abortion rate.
Asked about the “Contraception” study, the Guttmacher numbers and why no women were saying they got abortions due to lack of access to contraception, a Planned Parenthood spokesman emailed this Orwellian response: “I think the biggest barrier is access to affordable contraception.” Huh?
I was pointed to a Planned Parenthood study that showed that one in three women voters reported having struggled with the cost of prescription birth control at some point.
It’s unclear whether Planned Parenthood officials simply don’t understand statistics or are so accustomed to having their claims unquestioned that they think if they repeat them often enough, the facts will disappear. Obviously, you can complain of struggling with the cost of prescription birth control and also face an unwanted pregnancy for reasons that have nothing to do with lack of access to birth control. (By the way, Guttmacher was founded by Planned Parenthood; these are the numbers the group views as the most reliable.)
The House recently approved a Republican proposal to block $363 million in federal aid for Planned Parenthood, a move wholly motivated by opposition to the abortion services that the organization provides--even though officials say they don't use federal funds directly to perform abortions. The vote was mostly along party lines, with 10 Democrats voting for the measure to defund, and seven Republicans opposing it. It is unlikely to survive in the Democratic-controlled Senate.
To preserve its federal subsidy, Planned Parenthood continues to claim that without its contraception services the abortion rate will go up. This deception smacks of a fleecing of taxpayers in an effort to promote an ideological agenda, rather than a sincere effort to help women plan families.
What is that ideology, exactly? To find out, you have to dig through Planned Parenthood’s tax forms because the group certainly isn’t going to tell you. According to its most recent tax filing, the purpose of Planned Parenthood Federation of America is to provide leadership in “[a]chieving, through informed individual choice, a U.S. population of stable size in an optimum environment; in stimulating and sponsoring relevant biomedical, socio-economic, and demographic research.”
So it is, in reality, a population-control organization. Funny, this was never mentioned in the gauzy $200,000 advertising campaign launched last week. It also doesn’t make it into the “About Us” section of the group’s website, which repeatedly claims its mission is to protect women’s health, when in fact the real mission is to keep the birth rate at whatever level the leaders believe it should be.
To hear Planned Parenthood and their supporters, they exist only to provide Pap smears or breast exams or prenatal services. In fact, President Cecile Richards has gone so far as to erroneously imply that they provide mammograms. (A spokesperson for the group confirmed to me that this is untrue.)
Planned Parenthood officials are allowed to believe whatever they want and to pursue whatever goals they choose. But their dishonesty in how they present their organization to the public, along with ignoring basic statistics about their area of expertise, makes you wonder what else they are hiding. It’s also hard to deny that they are at core a blindly ideological organization, not a run-of-the-mill charitable nonprofit.
Whatever you think of abortion rights, this is not the kind of organization that taxpayers should be funding.

What Gives? Pro-Abortion Leader Disses Pro-Abortion Movement.
Long famous for her aggressive advocacy of abortion, Catholics for a Free Choice founder Frances Kissling surprised a few folks with her op/ed column for the Washington Post last weekend. The reason for the surprise is certainly hinted at by the title of her article: "Abortion Rights Are Under Attack -- Pro-Choice Advocates Are Caught in a Time Warp."However, Kissling's motives for writing the piece are pretty obvious for those that have followed her well-paying career as a heretic and abortion advocate: 1) She is a sincere and energetic zealot for abortion. And 2) She loves the spotlight. Both motives were served by the article.
True, there were a few of Kissling's colleagues who were ticked off by the article, people like Maryland's former head of NARAL Karyn Strickler, a hardcore enthusiast who has championed partial birth abortion as a good and necessary thing. She interpreted Kissling's criticism of the pro-choice movement as "a total sell-out" that must be rejected. "Under not [sic] circumstances should pro-choice advocates give into the kind of surrender that Kissling champions."
But Strickler represents those obscurantist pro-abortion leaders that have done so effective job in disgusting the American people. By ardently campaigning for such obvious atrocities as late-term abortions, such leaders have demonstrated to the general public a lack of compassion, a lack of balance and even a lack of reason.
Kissling only states then what is obvious to all but the most muddle-headed when she writes, "We can no longer pretend the fetus is invisible...Very few people would argue that there is no difference between the decision to abort at 6 weeks and the decision to do so when the fetus would be viable outside of the womb, which today is generally at 24 to 26 weeks. Still, it is rare for mainstream movement leaders to say that publicly. Abortion is not merely a medical matter, and there is an unintended coarseness to claiming that it is. We need to firmly and clearly reject post-viability abortions except in extreme cases."
There are other criticisms of the pro-abortion movement that Kissling makes that are of significant interest. But no one should mistake the intent of her article. Yes, she understands why her movement is beginning to fail. Technology has opened the womb to careful scrutiny and what the public saw inside was not a mass of cells, not a blob of tissue, not a mere lifestyle choice -- but rather the wonderful, delightful, miraculous child who has an inalienable right to life. As even Sandra Day-O'Connor predicted, Roe v Wade was on a "collision course" with scientific realities. Kissling is smart enough to see that once preborn children star in TV commercials airing during the Super Bowl, the game is up.
But, despite the rant of someone like Strickler, make no mistake -- Francis Kissling remains imperiously pro-abortion. She's just trying to help get her pro-abortion colleagues to recognize the inevitable and gear up for new strategies -- strategies which will keep Planned Parenthood coffers full and abortion mills busy. Kissling isn't selling out the movement; she is only trying to repackage the rhetoric and tactics needed to keep abortion selling in the marketplace.
Thus she encourages the defense of existing abortion laws including, one is led to believe, laws prohibiting informed consent and parental consent. "Pro-choice advocates have good reason to oppose legislation that restricts abortion in any way," she writes. Kissling also denies that the preborn child has anything like a "right" to life since "its value may not be equal to that of the pregnant woman." She even thinks late-term abortion can be defended by playing the exceptions game. "Exceptions include when the woman's life is at immediate risk; when the fetus suffers from conditions that are incompatible with a good quality of life; or when the woman's health is seriously threatened by a medical or psychological condition that continued pregnancy will exacerbate."
Note carefully Kissling's Orwellian line,"when the fetus suffers from conditions that are incompatible with a good quality of life." We know all too well how broad that "quality of life" stuff can be: Down's Syndrome, hemophilia, blindness, just about any disability you can name. Indeed, that line has even stretched to matters of gender, race, and guesses regarding the preborn's sociological future. And the "psychological condition" she mentions as an acceptable reason for post-viability abortion? Kissling well knows that's a convenient, all-purpose justification that abortionists have used for decades.
One other item. Kissling's article reveals a strategy already underway in the political debates about the de-funding of Planned Parenthood. It's a strategy that concedes a few pro-life points...but only to be used in the opening salvos of the public debate. When it comes to action, Kissling wants not only abortion protected from legal restriction, she also wants more government funding for birth control, for sex education of the progressive sort and for welfare policies that further erode family structure, moral traditions and personal responsibility.
No, it turns out that Kissling isn't surrendering a thing. Nevertheless, her article remains must reading for pro-life advocates for it does emphasize some of the points we must continue to press home to the American people. Tell the story of the marvelous advances in embryology. Talk it up about ultrasounds, about fetal surgery, about the increased survival rates of preemie babies. And make sure the agenda includes the trauma of abortion to the mother and the long-term health risks that abortion increases. And don't neglect the moral arena. The Bible couldn't be clearer in its opposition to the murder of the innocent. Speak from that noble height as well.
The abortion movement has been weakened; there's no doubt about it. But it is still far from weak. Our moral duty is to make it more so day by day.

Kansas Pro-Life AG Was Investigating Statutory Rape Crimes When "Ambushed" By Authorities & Media
For 8 years, when Phill Kline held office as either KS AG or Johnson Co. DA – and beyond, pro-aborts and the liberal press have hysterically accused him of trying to get the names of pregnant mothers who got illegal late-term abortions in KS.
But in court testimony provided this week by Kline, and documents entered into evidence yesterday by Kline’s lead investigator when AG, Tom Williams, it was revealed Kline was after the names of child rape victims 14-years-old and younger. Their abortions were never reported to the proper authorities for investigation, as required by KS law...

Virginia Law Making Abortions Safer For Women Is Opposed...By Pro-Abortion Leaders!
More proof that the pro-abortion lobby does not really care about protecting women. It cares about protecting abortion.
Virginia took a big step Thursday toward eliminating most of the state's 21 abortion clinics, approving a bill that would likely make rules so strict the medical centers would be forced to close, Democrats and abortion rights supporters said.
Gov. Bob McDonnell, a Republican and Catholic, supports the measure and when he signs it into law, Virginia will become the first state to require clinics that provide first-trimester abortions to meet the same standards as hospitals. The requirements could include anything from expensive structural changes like widening hallways to increased training and mandatory equipment the clinics currently don't have.
While abortion providers must be licensed in Virginia, the clinics resemble dentists' offices and are considered physicians offices, similar to those that provide plastic and corrective eye surgeries, colonoscopies and a host of other medical procedures.
Democrats and abortion rights supporters said the change would put an estimated 17 of the state's 21 clinics out of business. Most of the clinics also provide birth control, cancer screenings and other women's health services.
"This is not about safety for women. This is about ideology, and this is about politics," said Tarina Keene, executive director of NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia. "The women of the commonwealth are going to be the ones left to suffer."
Abortion rights supporters warned of legal challenges while supporters heralded it as a way to make the procedures safer.
"It is not about banning abortions," said Sen. Jill Vogel, R-Winchester. "It is simply caring for women who are about to have an invasive surgical procedure and creating an environment for them where they have the opportunity to do that in a place that is safe."
No other state requires clinics that provide early abortions to meet hospital standards...

Remember Planned Parenthood's Violent Superhero?
Do you remember Planned Parenthood's violent superhero, the costumed biddy who gave away condoms to minors and killed (by drowning and exploding) those that disagreed with her value-free sex ed philosophy?
Well, you probably don't because the cartoon was removed from the Planned Parenthood web site in 2005. However, as the huge abortion business gears up to protect its continued government funding, it's only proper for taxpayers like you and I to review what Planned Parenthood is all about.
Certainly this cartoon does not make for comfortable viewing but a far greater offense is to let slip the opportunity we have to expose Planned Parenthood as a profane organization whose major sources of income are 1) brutally killing preborn boys and girls through surgical and chemical abortions and 2) American tax monies. So, pass it on.

RINOs for the Hall of Shame
Hey, conservatives. Mark it down; don't forget it; and don't let your friends and family and neighbors forget it either. Despite America's economy going down the tubes, despite the latest revelations of Planned Parenthood centers protecting statutory rape and other crimes, and despite the fact that Planned Parenthood makes millions of dollars every year killing preborn boys and girls, the following Republican Congressmen and women voted to continue the massive subsidization of Planned Parenthood.
Charlie Bass, New Hampshire;
Judy Biggert, Illinois;
Mary Bono-Mack, California;
Charlie Dent, Pennsylvania;
Robert Dold, Illinois;
Richard Hanna, New York;
Rodney Frelinghuysen, New Jersey
These RINOs need replacing very badly.
Ouch! Planned Parenthood Scandal Nicks Obama
The President's non-answer is pretty revealing.
Check this out from Steven Ertelt's article at LifeNews.com:
“There’s a conservative group that went into Planned Parenthood with video cameras and taped what appeared to be Planned Parenthood workers turning a blind eye to sex trafficking,” the NBC 12 interviewer began in the late Friday interview. “Republicans here in Washington have turned this into a call for you and for other leaders in Washington to strip Planned Parenthood’s funding from the federal government. Do you think this video should be a reason to look at Planned Parenthood funding? Do you think it’s a setup? How would you react to that?”
Obama responded initially by trying to deflect the issue from Planned Parenthood to the economy:
“Well, you know, I will tell you, um, the vast majority of people right now, uh, what they’re thinking about are jobs, the economy, um, and I think that sometimes these issues get manufactured and they a lot of attention on the blogosphere. But what folks that I talk to have been asking is: How is the economy going to be doing? Are jobs going to be created? Are businesses going to be located here in the United States?”
Eventually, Obama got around to responding directly to the question:
“So, you know, my bottom line is, that uh, I think that Planned Parenthood in the past has done good work. If there was a specific problem at this center, it should be addressed,” Obama continued.
Then the president retreated back to other issues to close his answer: “But we shouldn’t get so distracted with some of these issues that we ignore what really determines how well our kids do in the future. Are we educating them properly? Are we investing in research and development and science and technology to keep our cutting edge? Are we dealing with our budget in a serious way and reducing spending? If we do those things, then some of these other issues are going to be addressed at the local level, but I’m pretty confident that we can address them.”
Jill Stanek, a pro-life nurse and blogger, noticed the interview and says it is revealing — for both what Obama said and what he didn’t. That the sex trafficking scandals has made its way to the presidential level shows how much of an impact the Live Action expose’ videos have made.
“The first bit of news to glean from Obama’s response is he was fully aware of the scandal,” she said. “Obama tried to minimize the sex trafficking sting as “manufactured” and only getting attention on the “blogosphere,” both claims of which are patently false. His own Department of Justice is now involved , after all, and the videos were repeatedly cited in GOP House testimony last week about an amendment to defund Planned Parenthood, which passed.”
“But Obama did nothing to reassure Planned Parenthood beyond that,” Stanek added. “In fact, he only distanced himself from the sex trafficking sanctuary. Obama first noted that any ‘specific problem… should be addressed.’ Slap.”
Stanek found it “intriguing” that Obama said Planned Parenthood has done good work “in the past” and that he would have used the present tense if he truly believed the abortion business is engaged in good work.
“But he didn’t,” she said. “Obama proceeded to tick off what he considered real problems, none of which had anything to do with Planned Parenthood and some of which were even contrary to Planned Parenthood’s mission of killing every child it can get paid to kill. Then came the pièce de résistance: ‘Are we dealing with our budget in a serious way and reducing spending?’ Wouldn’t that be making the GOP’s case to defund?”...

Planned Parenthood Fights for Funding...With a Sex Party?
Relevant to the debate going on in Congress to strip the millions of tax dollars that go to abortion conglomerate Planned Parenthood, I thought you might find this little article of interest. It's from Driadonna Roland, a staff writer of the mobile news service, Democrat and Chronicle.
Discussing sex is sure to create a stir, but mentioning the term Planned Parenthood might cause an even bigger one. On Saturday the two will merge for The Safer Sex Party, a fundraiser hosted by young professionals group R.E.A.L. for Planned Parenthood for the Greater Rochester and Syracuse Region.
The State Street Bank will be transformed into a lavish party for ages 21 and up from 7 p.m. to midnight for an event that invites guests to bust the myths, get the facts (about sex) and have fun doing it.
Organizers promise the event will be tasteful. It features an aphrodisiac bar inside the bank’s vault, burlesque shows and complimentary hors d’oeuvres. Proper attire is required.
Parking is available at the Sister Cities Garage. There’s also a free after party at Vinyl, 291 Alexander St, for those who show their tickets from the Safer Sex Party.
Proceeds will go for sexual education for young people. Tickets are $40 at Boulder Coffee, Parkleigh and at Planned Parenthood locations around town. Tickets are $50 at the door.

Abortion Rights Leader Is Target of Criminal Probe
Back In January, the day before the anniversary of Roe v Wade, the New York Daily News reported that Kelli Conlin, the President of NARAL New York, the state's biggest abortion-rights organization (except, of course, for Planned Parenthood itself) was stepping down after 18 years in that office. She was also leaving her position with the National Institute for Reproductive Health.A statement from NARAL suggested the resignation was amicable as Conlin would still "be available to the organizations to provide information and input as they move forward under new leadership."
It now seems, however, that this formal statement wasn't really telling the truth. Unless, that is, Ms. Conlin's advice was going to be sought about buying expensive clothes, vacations, chauffeur services and getting away for years with padding your expense account.
That's right. It turns out that, along with the fact that her co-workers couldn't get along with her (the NY Times reports on Board members quitting because of Conlin's reluctance to comply with federal law), the split stems from Ms Conlin's liberal use of NARAL credit cards. Like $6,000 worth of clothes at Giorgio Armani and Barney's, $17,000 for a summer getaway in the Hamptons, and $100,000 on chauffeur service. But Conlin might have thought she deserved such perks. After all, she was having to squeak by on an annual salary of only $309,000.
The Manhattan District Attorney has announced a criminal investigation. "But the investigation is awkward for new state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, who has close ties to both Conlin and NARAL. Conlin was a major endorser of Schneiderman during his campaign, and his father was on NARAL's board for many years."
What do you bet this case doesn't go far? And what do you bet you'll never see 60 Minutes or Nightline mention the story?

Abortion Zealots Crank It Up In Campaign Against Pro-Life AG
Jill Stanek gives you a quick review here of the bizarre and corrupt campaign being waged by abortionists, pro-abortion politicians and reporters, and even kangaroo court judges against former Kansas Attorney General Phil Kline. You see, Kline was responsible enough to to try and require abortionists to obey the law. And for this all hell has been unleashed against him.And over at American Thinker, Jack Cashill gives a more detailed look at this story as well as an explanation of why it is important to pro-life advocacy everywhere. Read Cashill's "Why Prosecutors Fear the Abortion Industry" right here.
Phil Kline needs our prayers and our support.
Ah, Democrats!
Is it a new episode of the Gong Show? Jerry Springer? No, it's just post-modern Democrats doing their thing.
Here's the Obama administration getting ready to dis Israel at the United Nations, thinking this might finally endear the U.S. to Muslim jihadists. And over here the President is out and out lying about his what's in his budget proposals as well as making the (deliberate?) mathematical error of ignoring altogether the interest payments on the national debt.
But it's not just the Democrat White House.
Out in California, Jerry Brown is juggling numbers too, claiming the bankrupt state is due to haul in over $4 billion that, in fact, it won't. Over here is Jimmy Carter assuring the American public that the terrorist-promoting Muslim Brotherhood is "nothing to be afraid of." And Nancy Pelosi is criticizing Republicans as putting "women and children last" for what? For their move to de-fund Planned Parenthood, the nation's #1 abortion-providing, abortion-promoting organization that has repeatedly been caught on video tape protecting statutory rape!
And I can't forget to mention the rage, the irresponsibility and the lawlessness which the Democrat lawmakers and public employee unions are revoltingly demonstrating in Wisconsin today.
Harry Truman, Scoop Jackson, even John Kennedy wouldn't recognize the Democrat Party as it's been done over by these guys.

Mark Steyn: "Big Government's Back Alley"
As I was leaving Fox News last night, I glanced up at the monitor and caught Juan Williams expressing mystification to Sean Hannity as to why Republicans in Congress were wasting the country's time on a "little thing" like abortion.
Gee, I dunno. Maybe it's something to do with a mass murderer in Pennsylvania, or Planned Parenthood clinics facilitating the sex trafficking of minors. From the Office of the District Attorney in Philadelphia: "Viable babies were born. Gosnell killed them by plunging scissors into their spinal cords. He taught his staff to do the same."
This is a remarkable moment in American life: A man is killing actual living, gurgling, bouncing babies on an industrial scale - and it barely makes the papers. Had he plunged his scissors into the spinal cord of a Democrat politician in Arizona, then The New York Times, ABC, CBS, NBC and everyone else would be linking it to Sarah Palin's uncivil call for dramatic cuts in government spending. But "Doctor" Kermit Gosnell's mound of corpses is apparently entirely unconnected to the broader culture.

Barbara Curtis Reviews "Unplanned"
In this interesting post from her blog, Mommy Life, Barbara Curtis reviews Abby Johnson's new book, Unplanned. It's a book Barbara likes and recommends highly.
Anyone concerned with the issue of abortion should read this book, as it illustrates through one woman's life how vulnerable we are when someone spins a message a certain way...
Abby Johnson made her entrance into the Planned Parenthood abortion industry through a college jobs fair. She wanted to help women, and the Planned Parenthood operative who chatted her up had just the right bait on the hook to grab her and reel her in. Abby volunteered for a few years, then upon graduation applied for and accepted a paid position at an organization she thought was helping downtrodden women. Her parents and husband knew the truth about PP, but loved her through the years Abby worked there...
But God has different plans for different people. And His plan for Abby's life is clear as you read her story, which God has used to show us how those on each side of the abortion divide think and feel. Abby relates how the 40 Days for Life presence made an impression on her contrary to the PP hype about "anti-abortion" fanatics. While in the beginning of her PP tenure there were a few harsh people on the other side of the fence, as 40 Days for Life became the stronger presence, Abby could see, hear and feel their love. She respected them and they respected - and loved - her.
Still, she never dreamed that one day she would flee to them for comfort and healing when the reality of abortion finally hit her. Since then, Abby has been active in 40 Days for Life. She and her husband are also in the process of converting to Catholicism (but that isn't mentioned in the book, which is a joint venture by St. Ignatius Press and Focus on the Family).
Through Abby's perspective you will gain a real appreciation for how the rapidly growing ministry of Days for Life - based on prayer and fasting - is having a greater effect than all the pro-life drama that came before.
But the real story of Unplanned is Abby's - the personal realizations, the spiritual growth, the clear intervention by God into a life situated, despite her upbringing and belief in God - to go along with the flow of the culture. Abby's insights will help anyone who's ever wondered how a Christian could be "pro-choice."
If you can't buy this book yourself, ask your library to get a copy - or two or three or four. Debuting at #1 on Amazon on its publication date, it has remained in the top 300s.

Video for Teens Urges Sodomy To Escape Pregnancy
And like Planned Parenthood, when they are viewed up close, they reveal themselves as a despicable, extremely profane and grisly organization.
A case in point? Their new video which urges kids to employ sodomy and other sexual techniques in order to have their thrills without the risk of pregnancy. Of course, increasing such practices will dramatically increase the risk of AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases -- but since when did Marie Stopes or Planned Parenthood really care about kids? It will, in the long run, only mean more money for the business.
This brief news item will probably be enough for most of you but for those who want a little more detail and source corroboration, check out this Jill Stanek post.

Planned Parenthood Tries To Spin Its Way Out Of Scandal
So how is Planned Parenthood responding to Live Action's most recent undercover sting -- a sting using audio and video evidence showing several Planned Parenthood offices guilty of coaching pimps running a string of underage, illegal immigrant girls in getting PP services without hassle...and without telling the police which, by law, PP is obligated to do.
Lila Rose gives an illuminating rundown of the 6 deceptions Planned Parenthood is trying to spin.
Good stuff.

Another Abortionist, Another Set of Cruel and Criminal Actions
(James Pendergraft, the abominable abortionist who is at the center of the story below, is pictured here on the far right marching in an honored position with feminist leaders. It's a remarkable admission of how the top ranks of the pro-abortion movement have actually set themselves against women's health, safety and dignity. But to this unnatural, ungodly movement, the promotion of abortion trumps all else -- even to the point of defending a butcher with the record that Pendergraft has earned. Read on.)
The abortion industry is certainly prolific in its ability to find new ways to destroy human life. And each “innovation” puts more women at risk.
Notorious abortionist, James Pendergraft, now performs a new method of late-term abortion in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. The procedure is called a “fetal intra-cardiac injection.” Using a sonogram, the abortionist guides a spinal nettle through the woman’s abdomen into the unborn child’s heart and injects poison or air to stop the baby’s heart from beating. Once the abortionist kills the baby, he leaves the woman on her own to visit her personal doctor or a hospital emergency room to have the now-dead child delivered.
Although Pendergraft’s facility is located in a secret location in the D.C. area, Pendergraft does not hold an active medical license in Maryland, Virginia, or D.C. Furthermore, in August, the Florida Board of Medicine suspended Pendergraft’s medical license for the fourth time. In the past, the Board of Medicine suspended Pendergraft’s license for illegal late-term abortions, and botched legal abortions. In August, the Board of Medicine suspended Pedergraft’s licence because he allowed an unlicensed employee–with a known drug problem–to dispense medications.
Fetal intra-cardiac injection constitutes a reckless and unnecessary practice. Pendergraft’s own website explains that when a child dies in utero and labor is not induced within a few days,
“The patient’s blood [can] become severely infected … this can lead to a clotting disorder where the patient’s blood does not clot, severe low blood pressure, bleeding constantly from needle sticks, internal bleeding, multiple organ failure which can lead to maternal death.”
When Pendergraft performs a fetal intra-cardiac injection, the woman leaves Pendergraft’s office in a potentially life-threatening state. He will not be available when seemingly inevitable problems and complications arise. Instead, the woman is sent off to find someone else to complete the abortion procedure. This procedure not only places the woman at risk, but the medical providers who might subsequently be called on to care for her...
