That's Barack Obama speaking at a fundraiser yesterday in New York City. In an ordinary election, this would sound like comic hyperbole.
But Barack Obama is not a typical politician and his dedication to utterly remake America is something we have never seen. Not from Carter. Not from Clinton. Not even from FDR.
And so I've finally found a statement from Barack Obama I can agree with. -- "Every single thing that we care about is at stake in the next election. The very core of what this country stands for is on the line."
