Film About Cistercian Monks (Murdered by Muslim Fanatics) Wins Honors at Cannes

Is this just a cultural anomaly or could it be a sign that even the arts community is doing some re-thinking about the severity, intolerance, and violent coercion which are historic hallmarks of Islam?

Here's a brief report on how the Cannes Film Festival awarded one of its highest honors to "Of Gods and Men," a film about 7 French monks in Africa who were murdered by Islamic fundamentalists in 1996.
