Ah, Democrat Politics!

If you want your blood to burn hotter than one of those Fourth of July sparklers, consider the following:

* As those thousands of temporary, part time census jobs ended (jobs that so bloated and distorted the employment figures), the country can clearly see that there is no economic recovery whatsoever. But the President still talks about our rosy future and how we're emerging from the tank because of his bold efforts. It's a bald-faced lie as the numbers clearly reveal. But those numbers are completely ignored by Team Obama and the Democrats...and woefully under-covered by the press.

* The details of the Democrat health care plan, a plan that lobbyists and far-left ideologues created and then stuffed into those thousands of pages which Democrats fought for, lied for, cheated for (without ever bothering to read), are coming out every week. And Americans do not like what they're learning. It's ugly, painful, extremely expensive and downright counter-productive. Thanks, Democrats. (Here's a couple of the latest stories: "Health overhaul may mean longer ER waits, crowding" from the AP and "Health law risks turning away sick" from The Hill.)

* Nancy Pelosi explains to the rubes a tricky economic principle they would never have figured out on their own; namely, that unemployment checks are the fastest way to create jobs.

* "Last night, as part of a procedural vote on the emergency war supplemental bill, House Democrats attached a document that “deemed as passed” a non-existent $1.12 trillion budget. The execution of the “deeming” document allows Democrats to start spending money for Fiscal Year 2011 without the pesky constraints of a budget.

The procedural vote passed 215-210 with no Republicans voting in favor and 38 Democrats crossing the aisle to vote against deeming the faux budget resolution passed.

Never before -- since the creation of the Congressional budget process -- has the House failed to pass a budget, failed to propose a budget then deemed the non-existent budget as passed as a means to avoid a direct, recorded vote on a budget, but still allow Congress to spend taxpayer money..." (Connie Hair, Human Events)

* The Obama administration's horrific inattention to the Gulf oil spill crisis is astounding to anyone who's paying attention -- even though the MSM is generally downplaying the catastrophe and throwing all the blame on BP when it does deign to cover the story. But alarming isn't nearly as strong enough a word to describe the plight of those in the Southeast U.S. who are already facing the dire consequences of the disaster. Obama and the federal government have not just gone AWOL on this, they've deliberately hindered those who could have helped in the cleanup from doing so. Can you say "impeachment?"

* "Once again Democrats decided that it was a good idea to pay workers of federal employee unions 100% of their salary to do union business during work hours instead of doing the job they were hired for. That’s right, instead of paying these federal employees to do the job we the people hired them to do, Democrats are paying these workers to do union business during the workday. It’s on YOUR dime, folks. " (Warner Todd Huston, Publius' Forum)
