The following clips are 1) to give you a fun musical introduction to the weekend and 2) to complement in a lighter vein the more serious call to action of an earlier post about letter-writing. As you'll see, the clips are all versions of that classic rock standard, Please Mr. Postman. I begin with the group that created the original hit, the Marvelettes, then a British TV appearance of the Beatles and, finally, a very cute karaoke version of the song featuring The Carpenters.
