By What Moral Standard Can You Oppose Only SOME Abortions?

In an article which never gets to the moral heart of the matter (that is, that the induced abortion of any preborn child is an inhumane travesty), The Globe and Mail looks at the overwhelming preference for male children in India. It is a preference which fuels the widespread abortion of preborn girls -- despite massive education efforts, the government's criminalizing the act, and offering financial benefits for having baby girls.

The article is thorough and very informative. But it ultimately fails in its intent. For how does one work up a horror to the brutal destruction of certain kids through abortion if, with other kids in other situations, you actually champion abortion as a matter of personal reproductive freedom?
