A "Swing Era" Benefit Concert for Veterans Coming to Lincoln & Omaha

Paul Falkowski from Desert Ministries sends news about exciting concerts coming up in Lincoln and Omaha, either one of which will give you a great time listening to superb "swing era" tunes and which give you the chance to help out in a great cause:

Dear Denny & Claire,

It is my pleasure to let you know that the AVI8ORS will be in concert May 30, and June 14, 2008. Please support them as they have generously supported Desert Ministries.

All ticket sales fund the "Heartland Honor Flight" project which provides air and ground transportation for Nebraska and SW Iowa WWII and terminally ill veterans to visit the WWII Memorial and other memorials in Washington, D.C.

Diane Thomas, Desert Ministries board member is a member of the AVI8ORS. They are an excellent singing ensemble, singing all the great hits honoring "The Greatest Generation."

I hope to see you there!

Thanks for the tip, Paul. We've ordered our tickets and we're looking forward to the Omaha concert. And, of course, we're pleased to pass on the invitation to others through this Vital Signs post. Information about the Avi8ors can be found at their web site (including some nifty audio/visual samples) and tickets to the concerts can be found here --- May 3oth at Lincoln's Lied Center and June 14th at Omaha's Holland Center.
