Juno: Another Hollywood Film Saying "No' to Abortion

"Faced with an unplanned pregnancy, an offbeat young woman makes an unusual and bizarre decision regarding her unborn child."

That's the plot outline of Juno, the new Ellen Page, Michael Cera, Jason Bateman, Allison Janney Jennifer Garner film, as described by IMDb but, good grief, it turns out that the "unusual and bizarre decision" is simply the protagonist making the compassionate and eminently responsible choice of adoption.

Anyhow, here's a fuller account of the new film in this Dawn Eden post.

As Dawn writes, "Like 'Waitress' and 'Knocked Up,' the film, with its raunchy language and situations, doesn't sound ripe for an endorsement from Focus on the Family. Still, it's always refreshing to see Hollywood admitting that a woman's "choice" is that of whether she will let her baby live."

And here's another review of the film that suggests Juno could well be a sleeper hit this year.
