While a version of the beloved song Ave Maria plays in the background, a version so tinny and cloyingly sappy that you think you may have stumbled into a fortune teller's parlor down on Bourbon Street, you read about how enlightened, how profound, how sincere are the author's pro-life views...
But then you read that the author doesn't really trust "anti-abortion" politicians, doesn't favor appointing Supreme Court Justices who will roll back Roe v Wade, and doesn't even think "that Americans should give up the right to abortion."
You realize that you're reading one of the weirdest of confessions. But it gets more irrational still as the author opines, "I feel that if we are to find a solution to the horror of abortion, it will be through the Democratic Party."
And then she endorses Hillary Clinton for President.
So, if you can take the syrupy song (with the authentic coughs in the background), the chocolate coloring of the web site, and, of course, the loopy logic of vampire queen turned Jesus' biographer, Anne Rice (shown here with Elton John), go on over to this eerie web site. But you might want to hang a clove of garlic over your neck before you do...just to be safe.
And afterwards, I suggest making a quick, satisfying return to sanity by reading Jill Stanek's commentary on Rice's kooky creed. That corrective is right here.
