In the modern world, truth is quite frequently stranger than fiction...and more sinister. An example is the latest proposal by Mexico's "leftist party" (the A.P. reporter's phrase, not mine) to legalize prostitution. Notice that this group has already won victories in Mexico City in legalizing abortion and homosexual unions, all "part of their duty to society."
But the Democratic Revolution Party isn't completely devoid of moral scruples. After all, the bill it proposes would only legalize prostitution "in designated areas at least roughly 1,000 feet from schools, parks, churches and apartment complexes."
