The political left, which holds itself as progressive, rational and fact-based, is becoming an enemy of academic inquiry, and a practitioner of thought control on a wide variety of issues. Increasingly, from the left's perspective, there is just one acceptable viewpoint...As David Limbaugh relates in this arousing column, the mere domination of liberal voices in the mainstream media and government education is no longer enough for them anymore; they are now acting to eliminate (by force) any contrary opinions whatsoever. These are very dangerous days indeed for free speech.
