Steyn Remembers Denny Doherty

The Sixties got old so fast. Cass, Denny and John are all dead, and so are Zal and a bunch of the other supporting players. All the leaves are brown and the skies are grey and the California dream fades to a distant blur. (The conclusion of Mark Steyn's memorial column on Denny Doherty, one of the most magnificent and mellow male voices in rock and roll history.)

Mark Steyn writes so well about so many things and when he shows up in Vital Signs Blog posts, it is usually related to political matters. But Steyn's cultural commentaries are also provocative, engaging and superbly written. You can keep track of this talented fellow through his website, Steyn Online.
