Cybercast News Service (CNS) reports on Republican Senator James Inhofe and his cautionary advice to politicians that the global warming craze may have peaked with the momentum in scientific circles now beginning to swing against "anthropocentric" models.
But Inhofe isn't just singing to the choir about this issue.
This brief article over on Bloomberg.com reveals that shortly before Christmas the Senator wrote a letter to more than 60 chief executive officers of American corporations urging them not to support bills this year that sought to cap carbon dioxide emissions. In those letters, he explained that though the Democrats were pushing very hard for mandatory limits on the release of greenhouse gases, such action might well hurt the nation as well as the individual companies.
And, as this article in the Economist details, Senator Inhofe has promised to filibuster any legislation on global warming that mandates emissions caps.
