Here is a sad, shocking story of an abortion by a Ugandan witch doctor which ended in the deaths of the preborn child, the 13-year mother, the arrest of the "herbalist" for murder, and the imminent arrest of a politician for defiling and impregnating the young girl.
This grisly story will, of course, be exploited by groups like the Guttmacher Institute and Planned Parenthood who have aggressively campaigned for more contraceptive services and legalized, "safer" abortion procedures in Uganda. However, the most basic, most profound issue revealed by this tragedy will be ignored by these groups (and, almost certainly, the media); namely, mankind's desperate need for God to deliver them from such sins as rape and child murder.
For this, "You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, " You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed.
The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy.
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. (Romans 13: 9-14)
