The President Chooses a "Bush Leaguer" for High Court

President Bush swings...and misses badly with his selection of personal pal, Harriet Miers, to take a seat in the Supreme Court. He had so many really excellent people available that this poor choice has to be considered a major failure of nerve.

With the stakes that are involved for issues of freedom, the sanctity of life, and more, President Bush has served up a tremendous disappointment.

The boys at Power Line weigh in with similar reactions. As do William Kristol, David Frum, and Captain Ed. Here are a few other quick takes, none of them positive: Single Malt Pundit, Southern Appeal, Mark Levin, and the list goes on.

Robert Bork, where are you when we need you?
