"Comfortable" Sex Ethic Producing Record Rates of Disease

Saving sexual activity for marriage? That's so Victorian. Nowadays, you just need to find someone you're "comfortable" with. This is the opinion anyhow of St. Louis Health Director Pam Walker. As she told the CBS affiliate in St. Louis, “You don’t have to spend a week in a bar to find somebody you're comfortable with. People are doing it online and they’re doing it faster.”

But there's a price for this new sexual ethic. A very expensive, ugly and dangerous price. Like syphilis being up 46%, gonorrhea up 31% and other STDs following the alarming trend.

And, make no mistake, one thing that sexually transmitted diseases will not give you...is comfort.
