Where Can We Cut $400 Billion in Government Spending -- In One Year?

Just a few days ago, Citizens Against Government Waste released the 2011 edition of its Prime Cuts database, a compendium of 691 waste-cutting recommendations that would save taxpayers $391.9 billion in the first year and $1.8 trillion over five years.

With the American economy tanking because of catastrophic overspending, the Prime Cuts should be required reading on Capitol Hill.

But, of course, most of the politicians will not read it. Nor will they get serious about cutting government spending...unless we force them to.

And that's where YOUR reading of the CAGW's Prime Cuts can help. For there's more than enough "juicy" facts there about government's gross irresponsibility to make your letters to these politicians (and to the editors of newspapers and magazines) particularly spicy. And plenty to embarass even your most Democrat of friends.

So gear up for the fight against government spending by reading through CAGW's Prime Cuts.

But you might want to take your blood pressure meds before reading.
