Let Them Eat Cake: British Peer Insists Vegan Diets (and Submission to Tyranny) Are the Only Ways to Save the Planet

Highbrow academic Nicholas Stern (the Baron of Brentford, a former chief economist of the World Bank and now a Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics), has a threefold message for the Western world, one that we must embrace if the planet is to be saved.

1) We must become vegetarians.

2) We must pay for the rest of the world to go green with us. (For instance, the U.K. needs to cough up £3 billion on its own -- and that's an annual payment!)

3) President Obama must come to Copenhagen and inspire the world's leaders to radically transform their countries' economies and their citizens' personal lives in order to prevent runaway climate change.

Yes, the hard science may have proved these Chicken Littles foolish. But they have persistence, power, and an overarching goal to take full control over heretofore healthy economies and heretofore free people. Under the banner of climate change, these folks are moving -- and moving quite rapidly -- towards a terrible tyranny.
