I know, I know. Polls are polls. And it's still a bit early. But if the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC poll has any street cred at all, the Republicans are in no small amount of trouble in looking for a presidential contender in 2012. Mitt Romney took first place. Donald Trump took second. And third and fourth places went to Mike Huckabee and Newt Gingrich.None of those guys will ever beat Barack Obama.
The G.O.P. better get serious about selecting and then promoting a credible candidate. And fast.
