Are All Religions Equally Culpable for Terrorism?

Do you lie awake at night wondering when the next Tao train bombing will be? Do you worry about Buddhists, Jains or Hindus sending airplanes into buildings or blowing up schools? Are you waiting for the next terror attack led by Zorastrians, Shintos or Presbyterans?

Of course not. But that's just what President Obama's Deputy National Security Advisor, Denis McDonough, would have you believe. McDonough's recent claim (made to an audience at the Islamic ADAMS Center in Sterling, Virginia, a place that has been raided by the FBI for its suspected links to terrorism) is that members of many different religions “succumb to terrorist ideologies.”

Don't you see? It's every preacher's problem -- how to keep the folks in the pews instead of going out and throwing Molotov cocktails into supermarkets.

No, the last thing this administration wants to admit is the thing that every sane person on the planet understands; that is, that the huge, horrific and ongoing terror threat facing the West comes from a jihad-centered Islam. And since they cannot deny that completely, they try to protect the reputation of Islam by spreading the blame to all religions.
