CNN's Right: It's a Baby in There!

It was an exhilarating change of pace to hear a CNN anchorman make such a pro-life statement on national TV. Indeed, Dr. Sanjay Gupta did that twice in"Toxic Childhood," a CNN segment aimed at showing how chemicals in the environment could negatively affect unborn babies.

Dr. Gupta said, "Here in the womb, enveloped in darkness and warmth, a baby's life begins in earnest. It is a sacred space: pristine, insulated, more than nine months of safe refuge from the world outside." And a bit later, "We imagine a baby sort of nice and safe and tucked away in the womb, impervious to all the assaults that occur on the body."

Well, not exactly, Dr. Gupta.

You've certainly got it right in calling the baby a baby. Way to go.

But there are far more egregious and immediate dangers to the unborn baby than the environmental chemicals your program refers to. Those dangers are Planned Parenthood abortionists and other freelancers who invade that "sacred space" to deliberately destroy thousands of babies every day. And make money from it!

And yes, there are deadly chemicals too but not the ones you're talking about that can have a long term effect on the baby. No, these are poisons like RU-486 that are specifically designed to terminate right away the tiny kids living in that "pristine, insulated, safe refuge" you mentioned.

Yes, we appreciate the truths you spoke, Dr. Gupta. We appreciate that very much.

But please, let's apply those truths where they most directly apply; namely, to sounding the alarm about those businesses which deliberately kill preborn kids every day.
