The other day when Steve Young was over explaining to us the changes he's making in the Vital Signs Ministries web site, he mentioned using the SLED Test as an effective persuasion tool for pro-lifers.
Uh oh. A little sheepishly (I mean, Claire and I have been in this fight for an awfully long time), we confessed we didn't even know what he was talking about. Steve explained it briefly and then took us to this page that further delineated it.
Wow.
Steve was right. The SLED test is a nifty, memorable way to deal with several of the most common misconceptions about fetal development. And so I'm quite sure we will often be using the SLED from now on. I think you might too.
