Which of these elements of Crystalgate offends you most?
1) That in a time when our economy is tanking, unemployment is higher than its been in decades and the administration that she's a part of is promising to reign in overspending, Hillary Clinton decides to spend $5.4 million to buy fine crystal stemware for American embassies.
2) That the contract was given to a small time interior design company in Washington, D.C. that doesn't even have experience doing such work...but it does have eligibility for minority small-business contracts.
3) That the firm simply sub-contracted the whole project, thus undercutting the very purpose of government preferences for minority-owned businesses.
4) That the firm eventually hired to do the work was not even an American company, meaning that the economy benefited will be Sweden's, not ours.
Or 5) That the mainstream media would be all over this story, denouncing every factor listed above, if the administration were a Republican one. But since it's not, there's been virtually no coverage at all.
