I certainly hope Nebraskans become aware of the notable prize recently given one of our state's political leaders.Senator Ben Nelson was named January's "Porker of the Month" by Citizens Against Government Waste, the nation’s largest nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement in government.
The organization believed Senator Nelson was a slam-dunk winner this time around for "his Cornhusker Kickback boondoggle, classless congressional CYA behavior, and opening the door to a congressional stampede to try to fully federalize one of the most wasteful government-run healthcare entitlement programs ever conceived."
Congratulations, Senator Nelson.
