Of Course, I'm Sitting On Pins Today for Scott Brown

No, Scott Brown isn't my kind of candidate. He's a liberal Republican with whom I have major disagreements, especially about the sanctity of life.

But he is a better choice even on that issue than a lot of liberal Republicans. For instance, his acceptance of pro-life conscience clauses is a huge improvement over people like Olympia Snowe.

But most relevant to the matter at hand, Scott Brown is a vastly superior choice compared to Martha Coakley, his Democrat opponent in the Massachusetts Senate seat being voted on today. For a Republican to take over the position occupied for nearly 50 years by Ted Kennedy would mean a likely defeat for ObamaCare, would greatly energize the conservative ranks throughout the country, and would represent a disaster for the socialists now seeking to overturn our nation's laws and principles.

So, yes; I'm sitting on pins and needles today as I hope (and pray) for a Scott Brown victory over Martha Coakley.
