Blogging on Mondays is always late because of our involvement in sidewalk counseling at the Bellevue abortion mill earlier in the morning. Then today I got off to an even later start because of several other matters that also required quick attention. Among them were an invigorating conversation between myself, Claire, Ruth and two friends who we providentially ran into at Panera's, Erik and Jen Liebenthal. We hadn't seen them for many years and it was a good time of catching up.
Then there was the end of the driveway to clear out from the snow and ice that the city plow had shoved there. That turned out to be quite a job. Then checking in on Mom. Then trying to fix the wiper blades on Claire's car. Then getting the mail. Then digging out logs from under the snowdrift so they can dry out and be used in the fireplace tonight as we host our last Christmas party of the season. (Actually, it is last week's Epiphany evening which we've rescheduled for tonight.)
And then blogging.
But there's only a few quick posts because there's still several other things waiting to be done today. Ugh. Mondays.
