Dr Sang-duk Shim, a South Korean obstetrician who did abortions for over 20 years has stopped participating in the procedure. In fact, he has boldly jumped into the leadership of the pro-life movement there. In doing so, he has suffered financially, become a figure of controversy and even has received death threats.
But he's not going back..
Mercator's Michael Cook (with translation services provided by Chan-Jin Kim) interviewed Dr. Shim and, in so doing, has given us an extremely informative and provocative look into one man's fight for the sanctity of life in a country that has one of the highest rates of abortion in the world.
It's a must-read.
