The Lieberman/Warner Global Warming Bill: A Hard Wind Blowing Left

Front Page Magazine has a nifty little article written by Ben Lieberman, an economist and Heritage Foundation policy analyst, about the 5 most common myths about S. 2191, the Lieberman/Warner global warming mania bill that goes under the remarkably pretentious title, America's Climate Security Act. ("A Vote for Hank Huckster is a Vote Against Hurricanes!")

Ben Lieberman (no relation) gives you a brief, common sense answer to the following myths on which the legislation is founded:

Myth #1: LW would not be expensive.
Myth #2: The costs fall on industry, not consumers.
Myth #3: Global warming is a crisis that must be addressed at all costs.
Myth #4: LW effectively addresses the threat of climate change.
Myth #5: LW's cap-and-trade approach is a proven success.

Lieberman's answers are just the kind of thing to send along to your Congressman and Senator. For, if unchecked, the Hank Huckster's behind America's Climate Security Act are going to bring us all some "bad weather" indeed.
