Widely reported among the evidence that man-made global warming promised catastrophe for the planet was an increase in tropical cyclone activity around the world. This particular argument was begun by a study led by Kerry Emanuel, an atmospheric scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. But Emanuel has kept studying the data and...uh...he may be changing his mind.
There's no question, he says, that the old and new work "contradict each other to a degree."
