Have Your Legislators Seen Planned Parenthood's "Edgy" New Commercial?

If you can stand it, Dawn Eden has a video clip here of -- and I'm using Planned Parenthood's own words now -- "a new, edgy radio and television campaign that focuses on the importance of practicing pregnancy prevention and safer sex. The 'Mile High' campaign draws in viewers and listeners with lively characters that provide pregnancy prevention and safer sex education in a fun and entertaining way. The target audience for the campaign is young adults, ages 18-24...This ad's message normalizes pregnancy prevention and safer sex in a healthy, cool, and humorous way. The “Mile High” campaign will run from the end of December 2007 though February 2008 on cable television networks: MTV, VH-1, Comedy Central and TLC and on KMEL-FM, a San Francisco Clear Channel radio station."

As Dawn describes it, the revolting ad "features a ridiculously stereotyped homosexual flight attendant showering condoms, patches, and pills on members of his "Mile High Club" before coming on to the jet's male pilot. The flight attendant is black, by the way — not surprising, given Planned Parenthood's longstanding efforts to reduce the black population."

Planned Parenthood just continues to delve the depths of what's cheap and racist, what's deceitful and dirty, what's exploitive and destructive. And though their profits from abortions and abortion chemicals are astronomical yet Planned Parenthood continues to rake in millions from misguided corporate donors and from American taxpayers too!

Is anyone talking about this travesty in the election season?

Why not zip along an e-mail to your Congressman and Senators asking them to 1) view this shameless Planned Parenthood commercial; and 2) get enthusiastically behind the long overdue action to de-fund this creepy organization.
