U.N. "Selectively" Opposes Sex-Selection Abortions

The United Nations, long a promoter of abortion for "population control" as well as the liberation of women from traditional roles, is now experiencing a change of heart...at least when it concerns one particular motivation for abortion.

In this Reuters story, we read how the U.N. is trying to avoid a demographic crisis in India by speaking against the gross brutality of sex-selection abortions there. After all, the organization estimates that as many as 2,000 preborn girls are killed by abortion every single day!

However, once you've been involved in crying, cajoling and coercing in favor of abortion, as the U.N. has for so many decades, you've pretty much squandered your moral authority to speak against it. Sure, that moral authority could begin to be rebuilt, of course, but that would take the various U.N. agencies publicly repenting their past involvement in the modern day "slaughter of the innocents" and an energetic new opposition to all abortions because of what they are --gruesome, barbaric, and lethal human rights abuses.

But, pray to that end as I'm doing, I'm not going to hold my breath.
