You've heard the joyous news in several media accounts that the resurgence of the American bald eagle has been more successful than believed possible just a couple of decades ago. But not only do almost all of these news stories misreport the cause of the birds' endangerment (it was not DDT), but they are lacking a proper sense of priority; namely, the preferment of protecting people over animals.
