Sure, it is always the season of thanksgiving for the Christian (Psalm 95:2, Psalm 100:4, 2 Corinthians 9:11-15, Philippians 4:6 and so on), but it is also of great importance for American Christians to cherish the foundations of their national holiday. Indeed, we should be intensifying our efforts to pass on to the next generations the history, the importance, and the present applications of Thanksgiving. After all, the government schools are not going to do it. Neither will Hollywood or the establishment media. And, sad to say, even the church has fumbled this important responsibility.
