Did You Hear the Rumor About Snopes?

You may have seen the Facebook and e-mail report going around which discredits Snopes.com, the website that rather immodestly claims to be "the definitive Internet reference source for urban legends folklore, myths, rumors, and misinformation."

Now I haven't always been pleased with Snopes either. The site can be inefficient and biased, as in several reports where it attempts to distract readers from the stark abortion zealotry practiced by Barack Obama.

However, it looks like the anti-Snopes report circulating around cyberspace has some heavy problems of its own. (See this article.)
