The following few paragraphs were written a couple of weeks ago and posted as a "Note" on my Facebook page. But, because someone asked about it today, I now post it here too.
Last night Claire and I heard Lila Rose speak in Lincoln for the Nebraska Family Council. She was absolutely terrific -- a brave, engaging, winsome pro-life activist who has also developed into a talented and compelling speaker as well. We went down with John and Barb Malek (Barb was receiving an award for the AAA Center for Pregnancy Counseling) and we also joined up there with such veteran pro-lifers as Deb Hershberger, Pam McCabe, Mary Jane Ziola, and several others. We also were pleased to see other dear friends like Femi Awodele. It was a great time and we were all thrilled by Lila's presentation and deeply touched by her gratitude to the hardworking pro-lifers "whose shoulders she was standing on."
Of course, Lila's talk included her undercover reporting about Planned Parenthood's criminal activities, but she also spoke eloquently about prayer, the aching need to get churches involved in the fight, networking, and much more. Again, she was great.
I was also very encouraged to hear how effective the work of the Nebraska Family Council is going. Al and Linda Riskowski, Karen Bowling and the rest of their team have done a splendid job in their several pro-life, pro-family ministries for many years. But they are expanding their service even more in behalf of the Lord Jesus. My most sincere commendations and thanks go out to them.
Pray for the ministry of Lila Rose and her colleagues. And, if you get a chance to hear her, don't pass it up. And those of you here in the state, make sure you stay in touch with the Nebraska Family Council. They're going places and they would love to have you aboard.
