Costa Concordia Tragedy: "Get Back On Board, Captain!"

A sea captain pulls a dangerous stunt that he knows full well endangers the lives of the thousands of passengers and crew in his care. Then, when his "instincts" fail and he sinks the ship, he ignores his responsibility to keep order and rescue lives.

Instead, he deserts his post, "trips" into the nearest lifeboat, and has to be ordered again and again to return to the ship to carry out his duties.

It is an incredible, tragic story with all kinds of subplots and cultural applications.
