Volume 8 of "When Swing Was King" Is On the Road

Yesterday we debuted Volume 8 of "When Swing Was King" at the Life Care Center and a swell time was had by all. LCC is where we presented our very first program back in July and we've presented the audience there a brand new program every month since then. Today we take the show to another of our regular venues, the Via Christe dependent living/nursing home on Omaha's near north side. Several other showings are scheduled this month.

We are as excited as ever about this music (and Power Point and historical commentary) outreach because the enthusiastic response of the elders in these facilities just never wanes. They are as excited and as appreciative of the latest program as they were when we first showed up! The laughter, the stories, the memories, sometimes the tears, but always the tapping of toes and the singing along to these terrific songs of their youth -- it all makes Claire and I delighted to be a part of this wonderful ministry.

We do, of course, relish the involvement of others. For your presence gives the residents yet another chance for visitation, encouragement, a relief from boredom (you'd be surprised how dull life at a nursing home can be!), and ongoing friendship. So, give us a call and we'll let you know the WSWK schedule.
