While Political Dissidents Suffer, Castro Daughter Demands Tolerance for Sexual Deviants

In yet another example that wickedness, want and weirdness are all doing well in Communist Cuba, here's a quick report on the debut tonight of a documentary film (hitting the big screen, no less) about the "pioneering" Mavi Sussel, Cuba's first transsexual to undergo "gender reassignment surgery."

Sure to be in the audience will be the daughter of dictator Raul Castro, Mariela. After all, she is the director of the state's sexual education office who has pushed so hard for increased freedom and acceptance for homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals, transvestites, and the "genderly reassigned."

But not political dissidents, of course.

No, freedom is a heady thing and must be carefully awarded only to those who deserve it. Like sexual deviants.
