Robert L. Park, a professor of physics at the University of Maryland at College Park and the director of public information for the American Physical Society, is the author of Voodoo Science: The Road From Foolishness to Fraud (Oxford University Press, 2002). For the Chronicle of Higher Education, Dr. Park has written a very readable, very helpful article that gives a few nuggets from his book.
