A friend just sent over a situation regarding "parental consent" that we would do well to ponder. It is simply this -- though his 14-year old daughter could have an abortion without his consent (despite abortion being an invasive, extremely unnatural and dangerous medical procedure, one wrought with the most fearsome of moral consequences as well), the same girl had to call and receive parental permission before she could undergo a 6-minute stay in a tanning booth!Ladies and gentlemen, look for the well lit exit signs.
